Teas
There are 2 ways to make a tea:

Decoction-

Add 1 oz to 1 pint of water and bring to a boil. Turn heat down and simmer about 30 minutes until your left with half the water. Strain out the herbs and drink the herbal decoction.

Infusion-
Boil a pint of water and pour over herbs and let it steep for 15 minutes. Strain out the herbs and drink.

Take warm and use as directed when you received your tea.

Liniments
Liniments are most effective when applied correctly. For use on general areas including sore muscles, warming up tendons, and removing bruises-
Apply liberally directly to and around the area
Massage to slight discomfort toward the heart, as stagnate blood must return
The alcohol in the liniment is acting as a lubricant
Massage the area until the lubricant is evaporated and repeat twice minimum
For areas of bone fractures, severe injury to muscle and tendons, and areas that are too tender just apply liberally in a large area around and on the area using a gentle rub.
Liniments for are for external use only and should not be applied where the skin is open, on the face, or on very sensitive skin.
Apply at least twice and apply 2-3 or more times a day until condition improves or cured
When using warm formulas and it irritates your condition, you should discontinue use and use a less warm formula (i.e. SHEN). If irritations continue to persist discontinue use all together.
Use these directions to compliment the instructions on the formula you have.

Oils
Apply as directed using massage where appropriate. Massage is not intended on severe muscle pulls, bone fractures, etc. Instead the area should just be coated liberally and allowed to soak. Don't over-use oil as you have to wait until the skin absorbs the oil.
For external use only

Balms/Salves/Ointments
Apply liberally and massage on the area.

Some formulas require you to apply a thick paste over the area and cover with gauze or Dimmak CLOTH
For external use only

Elixir/Jiu/Tincture
Normally the dosage is taken as 1-2oz per day. This is equal to 2-4 tablespoons.
Take as directed

Soaks/Baths
Boiled in 2 gallons of water as a soak and then reheated through a 7-10 day period for soaks. For Baths use the supplied bag of herbs like a tea bag in the bath letting the warm water come down on it.
For external use only

Bolus
Use inter-vaginally or rectally as directed, normally 1-2 bolus' nightly.

Plaster/Poultice
Apply to skin as directed.
For external use only

Syrups
Use orally as directed

Powders
Apply externally as directed
